We developed this tool because the most common problem with a decrease in performance of a sharp edge on any knife is improper edge bevel grinding or attempting to sharpen without the right tools and technique. Once the factory edge has changed, it is difficult to bring it back for a variety of reasons. The first most important step we believe is establishing the course grind bevel. Once achieved and followed by a fine grind, the knifes cutting edge performs it's job.
